You absolutely have to try this amazing lavender and lemon ice cream. The lavender is…
Spelt flour pancakes
We have pancakes most Saturday or Sunday mornings. It just feels like a little more effort than the weekly
morning breakfast ritual of oats, cereal or egg, avo, and toast.
I always make some Chia jam or compote but my version is alot healthier

Ever since Food blogs became a thing around 2010 I have always admired the beautifully photographed food. And being able to Pin recipes to Pinterest. I started my own blog a few years ago, but I could not take my own photographs and had to work with a few photographer friends to help capture content for my blog. I always wished I could do it myself. But I did not even touch our Nikon DSLR because it just felt daunting and overwhelming and I am not one to spend hours figuring something out. I also have not spent alot of time creating recipes because I was too busy hosting cooking classes and baking parties.
Forward to 2022, I can now confidently photograph my own food. During Covid, I joined the US base Foodtography school and completed the 6-week course online. I learned alot!
Since then I have practiced and watched more YouTube videos, I really like The Bite shot by Joanie Simon. I have gotten a few contracts and retainers. I will not call myself a professional just yet. But I am getting there. I still need to invest in a new camera and lenses but do feel proud of what I can already create. I am also spending alot more time on my blog and adding recipes and photographs that I have posted on IG to my blog.
This was supposed to be a post about pancakes but I just had a moment of feeling proud that I took these pictures.
